Our Start to the New Year

Once again, something is wrong with my blog . . . not quite sure what.  I'll get my techie husband to look at it sometime . . when he wakes up that is.  Right now he is sprawled out on our bed sleeping the sleep of exhaustion.  And no wonder.  After all these days of craziness and class all day today, who wouldn't?

God has been very good.  We've only been married for 2 1/2 months and we feel like we've been through a lot together.  Shortly before we left for the States for further schooling, Steve was diagnosed with Mono.  The only way to get better, we were told, was through lots of rest and vitamin C.   If he did not rest, he could develop further complications including damage to his liver & spleen and chronic fatigue.  Not fun. Right at the time when he most needed to work, packing & doing all those wonderful last-minute things that he has a drive to get done.

We made it - and in wonderful condition.  December 31st found us driving, and driving, and driving . . . and the new year peaked around the corner expectantly only to find us sound asleep.  (My first time in years not being awake for the triumphant moment.)

Steve seems to be getting over mono in record time, even though he didn't always follow the doctor's orders. (Or mine.) :)  We are having a great time setting up our little apartment & attending the first classes of the year.  What an amazing opportunity we've been given, to just enjoy our God, learning, & one another for a whole year!  We are looking forward to what God has in store for us, although we already know that it won't always be easy.

"Lord, you have been our dwelling place
in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God."
Ps. 90

1 - And here I was just about to say you should keep your blog up. Well done! I shall be reading over your posts later.

Oh, and I think what's happened is that whatever website you host your pictures is of the opinion you have uploaded too many :) (Comment this)
